Harris, number 6, versus LAL in the 2010-2011 season. |
Oh, he should have been depressed, knowing his run in LA was over and would probably have a sub-par performance.
But, there is always a but in sports right? I mean come on now, it just is not as fun if there is not one!
But, Harris would go on to post 19 points and eight rebounds in a final effort in a Laker uniform. This is not a fairy tell story though, they did cut him from the team.
Fast forward to yesterday, February 8th, and Harris would re-join the Los Angeles D-Fenders, the Lakers NBA D-League affiliated team, and Manny was back in the Developmental League. Not to have a bitter taste about making the move back down to the D-League, he only did what was the next logical thing to do.
Just a... dropping 56 points, ya know, like it is no big deal. Yup, very logical, huh? Oh, but wait! There has to be more! It is not like I cannot just drop that beautiful golden nugget of eye candy to the reader and be done. Only to add insult to injury to what the Lakers are missing out on, Harris also grabbed 16 boards.
Any smart teams out there would probably go ahead a sign the dude up.
I am now starting a petition to have his middle name changed to "Get Buckets," anybody else on board with this... or naw..?
